Full course description

This video is about supporting social and emotional learning through daily interactions with students – in person or online. In particular, we will reflect on three strategies: explicit teaching, planning opportunities, and spontaneous teachable moments. In addition, we will think more about the importance of relationships in support of social and emotional skills.

Learning Objectives

1. Identify opportunities to support social and emotional learning in your daily interactions with students – in person, and virtually.

2. Learn about integrating social and emotional learning into your lessons and activities.

3. Think about how social and emotional learning might be taught, planned for, and caught as teachable moments when interacting with children and youth in person or online.

Presenter: Dr. Annie White, Senior Research Associate
